The Deputy Senate President, Senator Barau Jibrin, revealed on Sunday that President Bola Tinubu was not pleased with the previous distribution of palliatives to the needy in the country. Tinubu’s dissatisfaction led to the reconstitution of a committee for a more effective distribution process.
Speaking at the launch of the distribution of Federal government palliatives in Kano, Jibrin urged Nigerians to support the President in efforts to improve the nation without blame games. He commended the President’s efforts in distributing palliatives and highlighted the need for a fair and transparent distribution process.
Minister of Agriculture and Food Security, Abubakar Kyari, also mentioned that the Federal government had dispatched 90 trucks of food items and an additional 20 trucks to Kano, emphasizing the importance of proper distribution.
It is crucial for all stakeholders to work together towards a transparent and equitable distribution of palliatives to provide much-needed relief to the people.
