An Israeli airstrike tragically targeted the Morsi family home in the Jabalia camp, resulting in the death of Mohammad Abdelhay Morsi, the deputy director for north Gaza’s civil defense, along with three other family members. This attack adds to the devastating toll on civil defense workers in Gaza, with 83 killed and hundreds wounded.
Israeli forces also hit two schools in northern Gaza, causing further casualties and destruction. The strikes have resulted in at least 31 Palestinians killed in Gaza within a 24-hour period. Shockingly, data from Gaza’s Government Media Office revealed that nearly 70% of those killed by Israeli forces were women and children.
The scope of the devastation is horrifying, with over 3,500 Palestinian massacres committed by the Israeli army since the conflict began. Medical and civil defense workers have not been spared, with almost 1,000 killed. The situation is dire, with mass graves found in hospitals, displacement shelters bombed, and schools destroyed.
