Tragic Loss of Life in Lebanese Civil Defense
Three brave members of the Lebanese Civil Defense lost their lives in an Israeli drone strike on their vehicle in the town of Faroun. They were courageously fighting fires caused by Israeli airstrikes when the tragic incident occurred. Another member was seriously injured in the attack, while two more were hurt in a separate artillery shelling on an ambulance in Qabrikha.
Prime Minister Najib Mikati condemned this senseless act of aggression, calling it a violation of international laws and an assault on human values. He highlighted Israel’s repeated transgressions in Lebanese and Palestinian territories.
In response to this heinous act, Mikati has called for an emergency meeting with ambassadors of Western countries and international organizations to address the ongoing Israeli aggression and pressure Israel to cease its attacks.
Such tragedies reinforce the urgent need for global intervention to prevent further loss of innocent lives in the region.
