In a disturbing turn of events, illegal Israeli settlers destroyed 47 agricultural structures and homes in the Taybe area near Hebron in the southern West Bank. The Palestinians who returned to their properties after being barred by Israeli forces since early September were shocked to discover the devastation.
Mohammed Tneina, a victim of the demolitions, shared his heartbreak over the extensive damage caused to his home, grape vineyard, and water tank used for irrigation. These structures were licensed by the Turmus Ayya municipality, yet access to the lands is consistently blocked by Israeli occupation forces.
The illegal settlers from Adora and Tene settlements are being held responsible for these attacks, which have resulted in the displacement of communities and loss of lives. The Israeli government’s collaboration with settlers in expelling Palestinian farmers has been described as part of an “Israeli apartheid system.”
With tensions escalating in the West Bank and Gaza, the atrocities committed by Israeli forces have taken a devastating toll on Palestinian lives. It’s time for the international community to pay attention and take action against such injustice.
