Tragic Loss: 83 Palestinian Civil Defense Martyrs in Gaza
Since the start of the Israeli aggression on October 7, 2023, the Palestinian Civil Defense teams in the Gaza Strip have suffered a devastating loss, with the number of martyrs rising to 83. This heartbreaking toll includes the recent martyrdom of Colonel Mohamed Morsi, Deputy Director of Civil Defense in North Gaza, and members of his family.
Despite facing a severe shortage of food and basic necessities, the Civil Defense personnel continue to bravely serve their community under extremely challenging circumstances. The occupation’s attacks, concentrated in southern Gaza under the guise of “safe areas,” only escalate the danger faced by these dedicated individuals.
Colonel Morsi, who had served in the Civil Defense since 1995, tragically lost his life while on duty. The entire Civil Defense in Gaza mourns his passing and honors his sacrifice. Our thoughts are with all the families who have lost loved ones in this conflict.
Let us remember and honor the courage and dedication of these brave individuals who gave their lives in service of their people and country.
