UKLFI cautions ICC Prosecutor regarding rule violations

The UK Lawyers for Israel (UKLFI) association recently warned International Criminal Court Prosecutor Karim Khan for issuing arrest warrants against Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Yoav Gallant. UKLFI accused Khan of misleading the court and failing to provide updated and corrected information.

Additionally, UKLFI plans to consult with the ICC and Bar Standards Board, claiming that Khan breached the English Bar’s Code of Conduct. Other organizations, including the International Legal Forum, Simon Wiesenthal Center, Bnai Brith UK, and Jerusalemites’ Initiative, also criticized Khan’s actions, stating that his applications contained false information.

UKLFI chief executive Jonathan Turner expressed intentions to file complaints against Khan for violating rules. He mentioned that Khan has not indicated whether he will investigate these allegations. The controversy surrounding Khan’s actions has sparked concern within the legal community and raised questions about the integrity of the ICC’s proceedings.
