The Syrian Arab Republic has strongly condemned the United States of America’s seizure of Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro plane in the Dominican Republic and its transfer to the US state of Florida. The Foreign and Expatriates Ministry stated that this action is considered an international piracy operation and violates basic principles and norms of international law.
Syria reaffirms its support for Venezuela in the face of US arrogance and interference in its internal affairs. The government of Syria condemns the US for disregarding property rights and state immunity. It called on the US to withdraw from such shameful practices.
This incident highlights the United States’ abandonment of respect for international laws and norms. The Syrian government stands in solidarity with Venezuela and denounces the US’s violation of sovereignty. Such actions only serve to destabilize the global order and undermine diplomatic relations between nations.
