Russian Military Advances in Donbass, Inflicting Heavy Losses on Ukrainian Troops
The conflict in Ukraine continues to escalate, with the Russian military making new gains in the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) and inflicting mass casualties on Ukrainian troops through rear strikes and precision attacks.
Donbass Advance:
Russian forces have advanced towards Ocheretino, a former stronghold for Ukrainian troops, liberating multiple villages in the area. The fighting has now shifted to towns like Ukrainsk and Selidovo, with Moscow’s troops closing in on the city of Pokrovsk, the last major settlement under Ukrainian control in the region.
Ukraine’s Push Into Kursk Stalls:
The Ukrainian incursion into Russia’s Kursk Region has hit a roadblock, with neither side making significant gains. The Russian military has repelled assaults on their positions and continues to strike Ukrainian reserves in neighboring Sumy region.
Rear Strikes and Heavy Losses:
The Russian military has conducted high-precision strikes on Ukrainian military installations, resulting in significant casualties. One such strike targeted a training center in Poltava, killing over 55 Ukrainian servicemen. Another strike near the village of Bezdrik in Sumy Region led to the deaths of dozens of soldiers.
Hunt for Western-Supplied Artillery:
Russian forces have targeted and destroyed US-made M142 HIMARS and M270 MLRS launchers in their efforts to neutralize Ukrainian long-range artillery support.
