A non-governmental organization, Treasured Points of Light Foundation, partnered with the Spouses Forum of the Nigerian Society of Engineers to provide back-to-school items to 450 pupils in Akinale, Ogun. The initiative aimed to support underprivileged children and motivate them to continue their education despite economic challenges.
The foundation awarded 10 scholarships and distributed essential school supplies such as bags, shoes, lunch boxes, flasks, water bottles, and stationery. President Damilola Onebamhoin emphasized the importance of education, urging parents to prioritize their children’s well-being.
Addressing the students, she encouraged them to focus on their potential and aspire to achieve regardless of their circumstances. Mrs. Ronke Idowu, President of the Spouses Forum of NSE, highlighted the significance of education in shaping a brighter future for children.
The event reinforced the message of empowerment through education, with a commitment to supporting more children in the future. The collaboration between the NGO and the forum exemplified a shared dedication to promoting learning and opportunity for all.
