The Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps Arrest Seven Suspected Miscreants During Fuel Hike Protest
The Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps (NSCDC) recently apprehended seven suspected miscreants during a protest in Ilorin, Kwara state capital. The suspects were allegedly involved in unlawful and violent activities during the demonstration by commercial vehicle operators.
According to the NSCDC Kwara command’s Public Relations Officer, Ayoola Michael, the suspects were part of the group of hoodlums causing unrest in Ilorin. One victim reported a case of theft during the protest, where her belongings were forcefully taken by a group of youths.
Following a thorough investigation, it was revealed that the suspects were responsible for terrorizing people in the Sango area of Ilorin. The NSCDC Kwara State Commandant, Umar Mohammed, assured the public that the Command is dedicated to maintaining order and will take action against criminal activities.
The suspects will be prosecuted in court in compliance with the law. The NSCDC remains vigilant in protecting the safety and security of Kwara State.
