Iranian Foreign Minister Emphasizes Importance of Consultations with Yemen for Regional Security
During a recent phone call with Yemen’s Foreign Minister, Abbas Araqchi highlighted the significance of ongoing discussions between the two countries in enhancing security in the region. Araqchi praised Yemen’s support for the Palestinian people and condemned the Israeli regime’s actions in Gaza.
Recognizing Yemen’s unwavering practical support for Palestine amidst heightened tensions, Araqchi extended an invitation for his Yemeni counterpart to visit Tehran for further discussions on mutual and regional interests.
In response, Yemen’s Foreign Minister reaffirmed Sana’a’s commitment to supporting Palestine and called for increased cooperation between the two nations.
Yemenis have shown solidarity with Palestine since the Israeli regime’s attacks on Gaza in 2023, engaging in retaliatory operations against US and UK military vessels to defend their pro-Palestinian efforts. The Yemeni Armed Forces remain steadfast in their stance against Israeli aggression until the violence subsides.
With thousands of Palestinian casualties in the conflict, the need for continued dialogue and cooperation between Iran and Yemen is paramount for regional stability.
