The Coalition Of Civil Society Organisations Pushes For Urgent Economic Reconstitution
The Coalition Of Civil Society Organisations (CCSOs) has criticized President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s economic team, calling for immediate reconstitution to tackle the escalating fuel prices and economic hardships faced by Nigerians.
The group expressed deep concern over the deteriorating state of the economy and lack of competence in Tinubu’s economic team, urging for urgent review and action to avert further disintegration.
Highlighting the impact of economic mismanagement, the coalition emphasized the need for a comprehensive and transparent plan to stabilize the Naira, restore confidence in the petroleum supply chain, and address the rising fuel costs affecting citizens.
They called for accountability among those responsible for the economic challenges, urging the government to disclose mitigation plans and re-evaluate monetary and fiscal policies to attract foreign investment and reduce inflation.
The CCSOs reiterated the urgency for corrective measures to prevent further hardships for Nigerians, emphasizing the importance of decisive and responsible action from the government to reverse the economic downturn.
