Chinese Vice Premier Ding Xuexiang expressed China’s readiness to collaborate with Africa and UNESCO in advancing education cooperation and cultural exchanges. Ding, a member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Central Committee, made this commitment at the opening ceremony of a China-Africa-UNESCO dialogue in Beijing.
The focus will be on promoting digital education exchanges, supporting youth employment and entrepreneurship, and strengthening cultural heritage protection. China plans to work with UNESCO to establish a trust fund for heritage protection, with the goal of enhancing Africa’s ability to preserve its rich cultural history.
The event was attended by 460 participants, including government officials from China and various African nations. The dialogue sets the stage for future collaborations that aim to deepen ties and promote mutual understanding between China, Africa, and UNESCO.
