Exciting News for Future Military Leaders in Azerbaijan – In a recent decree signed by President Ilham Aliyev, seasoned midshipmen will now receive training in three military colleges of the National Defense University. Previously, these colleges only trained soldiers for ground combat, but now they will also focus on preparing professional midshipman personnel for action.
The decree also includes a provision where half of the funds accumulated in each cadet’s account, along with income from managing these funds, will be paid to graduates who have completed military lyceums upon enrollment in higher education. The remaining 50 percent will be paid upon appointment to the position of officer or midshipman in the Azerbaijani army.
This exciting development highlights Azerbaijan’s commitment to youth training in the military field, ensuring that future military leaders are well-equipped and ready for duty. With training facilities in Baku, Ganja, and the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, the National Defense University is poised to shape the next generation of military personnel.
