State Government Orders Shutdown of Schools in Manipur Following Deadly Ethnic Violence
In the wake of escalating violence between two ethnic communities in Manipur, leading to the deaths of at least five individuals, including one civilian, the state government has taken decisive action by ordering the closure of all schools for security reasons.
The deep-rooted conflict between the Meitei and Kukis over economic benefits and government resources has intensified, with recent clashes resulting in casualties in Jiribam district.
