Alan Dershowitz withdraws Democratic Party support over Hamas backing

Renowned American lawyer Alan Dershowitz made a bold announcement recently, declaring his departure from the Democratic Party after witnessing pro-Hamas support outside the Democratic National Convention. Dershowitz, known for his expertise in US constitutional and criminal law, expressed his disappointment with the anti-Jewish and anti-Israel sentiment during the convention, labeling it as the worst in American history.

He criticized the party for giving a platform to speakers like Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Liz Warren, Bernie Sanders, and Reverend Al Sharpton, whom he accused of being anti-Semitic. Dershowitz also highlighted the party’s failure to support Governor Josh Shapiro due to his Jewish identity, suggesting pressure from the hard left of the party.

Moreover, he called out President Joe Biden for his response to pro-Palestinian protesters, indicating his shift to being an independent voter. Dershowitz emphasized the importance of a pro-Israel stance in his decision-making process for the upcoming elections.
