Zamfara government denies funding bandit leaders

Strategic measures have been implemented by the Zamfara state government to combat banditry with integrity and accountability, aiming for the safety and well-being of the people. The State Secretary-General (SSG) refuted a fabricated document and baseless claims aimed at eroding trust in the administration.

Recognizing past failed dialogues with bandits, the SSG emphasized the need for new approaches to restore peace. Community Protection Guards have been introduced to aid security forces, bolstering technical capabilities and collaborations with law enforcement agencies.

The governor’s commitment to a collaborative security environment was reiterated, emphasizing the vital role of community involvement and swift response to security concerns. Legal action against mischief makers forging official documents was assured by the State Commissioner for Justice.

Furthermore, the State Commissioner for Environment denied allegations of state involvement in mining activities, affirming compliance with the federal government’s ban on such activities. The state’s commitment to upholding security and legal measures for the well-being of its people remains steadfast.
