UN starts second phase of polio vaccination campaign in southern Gaza

The second phase of a polio vaccination campaign in Gaza’s southern zone has commenced, targeting children under 10 years old. The next phase is set for northern Gaza, aiming to reach a total of 640,000 children.

Despite challenges like hostilities and access restrictions, humanitarian organizations are striving to provide essential aid to Palestinians. The ongoing conflict has led to critical shortages and increased risks of spoilage in aid supplies.

Simultaneously, Israeli airstrikes in Gaza caused casualties, with 10 Palestinians reported dead. These attacks highlight the ongoing violence in the region, prompting Jordan’s Foreign Minister to warn against any attempts to displace Palestinians from the West Bank.
