Odisha Govt to Set Up Model Schools in 6,700 Panchayats: CM Majhi

In a significant move to enhance education quality in Odisha, Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi announced the establishment of a model school in each of the state’s 6,700 panchayats. These schools, named after Odisha’s first Education Minister Godabarisha Mishra, aim to improve the overall education system in the state.

Furthermore, the government will introduce the ‘Madho Singh Haath Kharch Yojana’, providing Rs 5,000 per year to every tribal student. This initiative is expected to benefit around 3 lakh students from the Scheduled Tribe (ST) category, addressing the issue of dropout rates among tribal students in the state.

CM Majhi emphasized the government’s commitment to aligning Odisha’s education system with the National Education Policy 2020, focusing on culture-based education. The government is taking necessary steps to implement these reforms and ensure a transformative shift in the education sector.

This strategic approach highlights Odisha’s dedication to providing quality education and empowering students across the state. By prioritizing education and inclusive policies, Odisha aims to create a more robust and efficient education system for its citizens.
