Lithuania has pledged to allocate 10 million euros to purchase new Ukrainian-made Palianytsia missile-drones for Kyiv in response to Russian attacks. President Zelensky confirmed the successful use of Palianytsia in late August. The production cost of one missile-drone is less than $1 million, according to Ukraine’s Digital Transformation Minister. This announcement follows aid pledges from the U.S., the U.K., Canada, Germany, and other allies during the Ramstein summit.
Denmark has also offered to donate arms to Ukraine by purchasing weapons from the Ukrainian defense industry. In June, the Danish Defense Minister announced the first donation of 18 Bohdana artillery pieces financed by Copenhagen. The move highlights the growing support for Ukraine’s defense capabilities from various countries.
The introduction of the Palianytsia missile-drone showcases Ukraine’s efforts to strengthen its defense industry and respond to security threats. It marks a significant step towards enhancing the country’s military capabilities and safeguarding its sovereignty.
