Abdellatif Hammouchi Takes Part in INTERPOL Meeting to Address Emerging Security Challenges
The Director General of National Security and Territorial Surveillance in Morocco, Abdellatif Hammouchi, recently participated in the 8th INTERPOL Chiefs of Police Meeting for the Middle East and North Africa region. This high-profile security meeting brought together heads of security and police agencies to discuss emerging security challenges in the region.
During the meeting, the Moroccan delegation shared their experience in combating new forms of crime, including cybercrime, organized crime, and terrorism. They also highlighted the importance of information sharing and collaboration in addressing these threats.
In addition, Mr. Hammouchi held bilateral talks with the new Director of INTERPOL’s Cybercrime Department to discuss joint cooperation in fighting the risks associated with technology use in criminal activities. The Moroccan delegation also visited INTERPOL’s “Command and Coordination Centre” to strengthen cooperation in cross-border investigations.
Overall, the meeting emphasized the importance of coordination and collaboration among countries in the MENA region to effectively address security challenges and combat transnational crime and terrorism.
