Shocking Case of Rape of Schoolgirls Surfaces in Gujrat

A disturbing incident has come to light in Saleem Colony (Therri Sansi) of Gujranwala, where at least five underage schoolgirls were raped by the husband of their schoolteacher at a government school. The suspect, who was running a canteen at a non-formal literacy centre where his wife taught, had been sexually assaulting girls aged 11 to 14 for some time. He would also blackmail the victims by taking compromising photos and videos of them.

Thankfully, one brave victim confided in her parents, leading to the suspect’s arrest after a complaint was filed with the Saddar Police Station. Punjab Minister for School Education, Rana Sikandar Hayat, took immediate action by suspending two teachers and temporarily closing the school. An inquiry committee was formed to investigate the matter further.

The suspect was detained after confessing to his crimes, and initial medical reports confirmed the rape of three girls. Charges of rape and child pornography have been filed against him, highlighting the importance of protecting vulnerable children from such heinous acts.
