Senior Buddhist figures in China stress government approval for recognising reincarnated Tibetan religious leaders ahead of Dalai Lama’s succession plan.
Over 50 Tibetan Buddhist monks and experts gathered in Lanzhou for a seminar on policies regarding the reincarnation of living Buddhas in Tibetan Buddhism.
The attendees from Tibetan-populated areas like Tibet, Sichuan, Qinghai, and Gansu heard speeches from elite monks of the official Buddhist Association of China.
The seminar aligned with Xi Jinping Thought and implemented Communist Party policies on religion and Tibet, aiming to ensure the healthy transmission of Tibetan Buddhism in line with socialist society.
