BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 6 – The first meeting of interior ministers from the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) took place in the Kyrgyz city of Cholpon Ata. Representatives from Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyz Republic, Turkey, Uzbekistan, and the OTS Secretary General discussed the importance of cooperation in combating transnational crime.
The Secretary General highlighted the significance of this meeting as a new platform for ongoing collaboration among Turkic states. Ministerial heads shared updates on their efforts against terrorism, extremism, trafficking, and cybercrime.
As a result, a declaration was signed, and it was decided that the second meeting of OTS Interior Ministers will be held in Azerbaijan in 2025. This milestone signals a united front in enhancing security measures and promoting mutual assistance within the organization.
