Amnesty International calls for investigation into Israeli military’s war crimes in Gaza
Amnesty International has urged a probe into war crimes committed by the Israeli military in Gaza, specifically focusing on ‘wanton destruction’ and ‘collective punishment’. The organization’s research revealed deliberate destruction of residential buildings and civilian structures by Israeli forces, rendering vast areas uninhabitable. Amnesty’s Senior Director emphasized that the buffer zone should not come at the expense of Palestinian civilians.
Despite ongoing international condemnation, Israel continues its brutal offensive on Gaza, with thousands of casualties reported as a result of the prolonged conflict. The humanitarian crisis in Gaza worsens, with a severe famine impacting the population and mass displacement of Palestinians. The situation, described as an ongoing genocide, highlights the urgent need for international intervention to prevent further loss of life and infrastructure in the region.
