The Government Media Office in Gaza released an update on the devastating impact of the Israeli occupation’s genocidal war on the region, now in its 336th day. The statistics paint a grim picture, with 3,556 massacres resulting in 50,878 martyrs and missing persons. Among them, 16,715 were children, and 11,308 were women.
The aggression has left 94,454 wounded, with 69% being children and women. The occupation targeted 178 shelters, leaving 17,000 children orphaned and 3,500 at risk of death due to malnutrition. The closure of Gaza crossings has prevented 12,000 wounded individuals from seeking treatment abroad. Additionally, 5,000 people from Gaza are detained, including 310 health personnel and 36 journalists.
The occupation’s destruction extends to 200 government headquarters, 123 schools, 335 partially damaged schools, 610 mosques, and 3 churches. Infrastructure like housing units, hospitals, health centers, and water wells have been decimated, with billions of dollars in direct initial losses.
The horrific toll of the genocidal war highlights the urgent need for international intervention to end the suffering of the people in Gaza.
