Bana’s father, Amjad Bakr, explained that his daughter was struck by Israeli army gunfire while she was in her room with her sisters.

A Palestinian girl, Bana Amjad Bakr, aged 13, was tragically killed on Friday in Qaryut, a village in the West Bank, following an attack by illegal Jewish settlers. The Palestinian Red Crescent Society reported that Bana sustained critical gunshot wounds to the chest during clashes with Israeli forces in the village. Despite being quickly taken to Rafidia Government Hospital in Nablus, she was pronounced dead upon arrival.

In a separate incident in Beita, an international activist, Aysenur Ezgi, was also fatally shot by Israeli occupation forces during a protest against settlement expansion, adding to the ongoing violence and tensions in the region.

These incidents highlight the escalating violence and aggression by Israeli settlers, with little to no accountability. The international community must address these attacks, which often result in loss of life and damage to properties, in violation of international law.
