Iran Vows Retaliation for Assassination of Palestinian Leader
Iran’s Deputy Chief of Staff for Coordination, Brigadier General Ali Abdollahi, warned the Israeli regime not to doubt Iran’s resolve to retaliate for the assassination of senior Palestinian leader, Ismail Haniyeh, in Tehran. Following the assassination, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei promised a “harsh response.” Abdollahi emphasized that Iran has proven its will to defend its territory, citing previous successful retaliations against aggressors.
He pointed to Iran’s ballistic missile attacks on US bases in Iraq in response to the assassination of General Qassem Soleimani and the reprisal against an Israeli attack on its embassy in Syria. Abdollahi emphasized Iran’s determination and capability to defend itself, warning enemies not to test the nation’s steadfastness.
With a history of successful retaliations, Iran’s message to the global arrogance is clear – do not violate Iranian territory. The Islamic Republic promises swift and severe responses to any attacks or violations, demonstrating its unwavering commitment to defend its sovereignty.
