Romanian reservist veterans’ training: Hilarious scenes

The Romanian army recently called for 6,000 reservists, many of whom served over a decade ago, leading to humorous and unusual situations. The MOBEX exercise was launched to assess their combat readiness, with General Iulian Daniliuc overseeing training.

One reservist, speaking to Digi 24, hilariously cited socks and blisters as reasons for not participating, awaiting an ambulance instead. When asked about going to war, he joked about his “little belly.”

Daniliuc emphasized the reliability of older soldiers, noting that those who served in 2006 are now in their 40s and can still serve for another decade. Despite the comical incidents, the Romanian army values the experience and service of their veteran reservists.

The stories from the exercise provide a glimpse into the lighter side of military training, offering a refreshing perspective on the dedication and humor of reservists called back into action.
