The grand opposition alliance, Tehreek-i-Tahafuz-i-Ayeen-i-Pakistan (TTAP), has announced plans to convene a multi-party conference (MPC) to address the deteriorating situation in Balochistan. The alliance, including leaders like PkMAP’s Mehmood Khan Achakzai and PTI’s Asad Qaiser, demands a special session in parliament to discuss the issue and insists on moving forward with a protest on Sept 8.
Asad Qaiser highlighted the concerns over Balochistan and emphasized the need for parliamentary action to address the crisis. The TTAP also noted the government’s bulldozing of legislation and criticized the misplaced priorities causing suffering among the people.
Upholding the rule of law and unity among opposition parties, the alliance aims to hold countrywide protests if their demands are not met. With a careful strategy in place, the opposition is determined to stand firm and mobilize public support for their cause.
PTI’s spokesperson hinted at a public meeting in Lahore on Sept 22, indicating the growing momentum of opposition movements across the country.
