The Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps (NSCDC), Osun Command, recently rescued two wandering children in Osogbo and successfully reunited them with their parents. The State Commandant, Mr. Michael Adaralewa, shared the heartwarming news in a statement.

The first incident involved a 12-year-old boy found wandering in Lameco Area, Osogbo, who ran away from his guardian’s home due to insufficient food. Despite efforts to satisfy his appetite, he always remained unsatisfied. The NSCDC team managed to reunite him with his guardian.

Additionally, an 8-year-old girl was discovered wandering in Apara Area, Osunjela, Ilesha Road, Osogbo, and was brought to an NSCDC office by a kind Samaritan. She was later reunited with her parents. The Commandant also mentioned ongoing efforts to locate three children kidnapped in August and bring the culprits to justice.

He praised public collaboration and urged proactive measures to safeguard children, especially during the holidays. This heartwarming display of community care and protection highlights the importance of vigilance and swift action for child safety.
