Labour demands increased funding to eradicate child homelessness.

The Labour Party is pushing for more funding in the budget to address child homelessness, with a focus on creating a children’s charter for a fair start in life. The party will gather in Dublin to finalize their priorities as they prepare for the upcoming general election.

With 16 general election candidates already selected and more to come, Labour is gearing up for a strong showing. Earlier this year, the party saw success in the local elections with 56 councillors elected, and Aodhán Ó Ríordáin securing a seat as an MEP in Dublin.

At today’s meeting, the parliamentary party and election candidates will discuss key policies and goals, emphasizing their commitment to addressing child homelessness and ensuring every child has the opportunity for a bright future.
