Murder of Journalist Nisar Ahmed Lehri in Mastung
In a tragic incident, local journalist Nisar Ahmed Lehri was shot dead by armed men in Mastung on Wednesday. The journalist was on his way home when he was attacked and killed on the spot. Police arrived at the scene and took the body to Nawab Raisani Memorial Hospital.
Authorities believe the killing was a result of a tribal clash over a land dispute and are currently investigating the matter. The Pakistan Federal Union of Journalists and Balochistan Union of Journalists have strongly condemned the murder and are urging the government to apprehend the perpetrators.
Nisar Lehri, who also served as the press secretary of the Sarawan Press Club in Mastung, was a respected member of the journalism community. His untimely death has heightened concerns about the safety of media personnel in Balochistan.
It is imperative for the government to take immediate action and bring all responsible parties to justice to prevent such tragedies in the future.
