Hamas claims Zionist PM opposes peace efforts

As tensions escalate between Hamas and the administration of US President Joe Biden, Hamas leader Hamdan dismisses new ceasefire proposals by Netanyahu, citing a lack of commitment from the Israeli prime minister. Despite repeated attempts at negotiations, Hamas accuses Netanyahu of manipulating the truce talks for personal and political gain, drawing criticism from both Israelis and western supporters.

Meanwhile, Hamas warns against falling into Netanyahu’s trap and emphasizes the need to pressure the Israeli government to honor previous agreements. Senior Hamas official Sami Abu Zuhri asserts that the release of Zionist captives is contingent on a complete end to the conflict in Gaza, signaling a firm stance against deception in negotiations.

Hamas also criticizes the US administration for its perceived bias towards Israel, accusing them of complicity in the conflict and lack of seriousness in seeking a lasting agreement. As the situation remains deadlocked, Hamas remains resolute in their resistance to undue pressure and deception in ceasefire negotiations.
