Ukraine’s parliament approved the resignation of four ministers on Wednesday, including Minister for Strategic Industries Oleksandr Kamyshin and Minister of Justice Denys Maluska, among others. Kamyshin is set to join the President’s Office, while Maluska cited exhaustion as the reason for his resignation. Olha Stefanishyna is expected to take over the Ministry of Justice and Ministry of European Integration, as the EU accession process requires aligning legislation with EU law.
Additionally, Svitlana Hrynchuk is slotted to head the Environmental Protection Ministry, and Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba has also submitted his resignation. Other resignations, including those of Vitaliy Koval and Iryna Vereshchuk, did not receive parliamentary support. A government reshuffle is ongoing, with negotiations underway for new ministerial positions.
Day two of the reshuffle is forthcoming, with further ministerial changes expected. The parliamentarians are in discussions about the new lineup of ministers, with a meeting of the ‘Servant of the People’ party faction scheduled to formalize the coalition.
