Ukrainian President Zelenskyy Orders Major Government Reshuffle
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced the need for “new energy” as he implemented the largest government reshuffle since the conflict with Russia started two and a half years ago. He emphasized that the changes were aimed at strengthening the state in various areas.
The Ukrainian parliament approved the resignations of a deputy prime minister, the strategic industries minister, and two other ministers during a session on Wednesday. However, the resignation of Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba, who submitted his letter earlier that day, was not discussed. Sources close to the presidential office revealed that Zelenskyy and Kuleba will engage in discussions to determine the latter’s future role.
This significant development comes amid ongoing tensions with Russia and underscores Zelenskyy’s commitment to driving forward change within the Ukrainian government.
