Iran’s response to the assassination of Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh has been a topic of global concern. However, the Iranian regime seems more focused on escalating regional tensions to achieve its strategic goals rather than seeking revenge. The US and Israel are monitoring the situation, but experts believe it’s mostly precautionary.
Iran is using behind-the-scenes negotiations to save face and gradually back down from its threats. By linking the retaliation to talks on a Gaza ceasefire, Iran aims to retreat from its hollow threats against Israel and exploit the Palestinian cause for its benefit.
Despite claiming to prioritize Palestinian interests, Iran’s actions reveal a different truth. The regime manipulates conflicts to maintain its role in the Middle East, emphasizing its own survival over the lives of individuals like Haniyeh and others. It’s clear that Iran’s ultimate goal is political gain, not peace.
Iran’s Deception
Iran’s manipulation tactics extend to Lebanon as well, using Hezbollah to keep the region occupied. The regime’s facade of power is wearing thin, and its deceptive games are no longer effective. As the Middle East grapples with ongoing conflicts, it’s crucial to prioritize national interests over Iran’s illusions of influence.
The region must confront reality and seek genuine solutions to crises instead of waiting for empty promises. The Iranian regime’s history of deception and self-serving agendas must be acknowledged to move forward effectively.
