Ukrainian FM resigns
Ukraine’s Foreign Minister, Dmytro Kuleba, has submitted his resignation as part of a larger government reshuffle in Ukraine. Parliament speaker Ruslan Stefanchuk announced the news on Facebook, indicating that the Verkhovna Rada has received Kuleba’s resignation letter for consideration in an upcoming plenary session.
Alongside Kuleba, several other high-ranking officials have also stepped down, including the Minister for Strategic Industries, the Minister of Justice, the Minister of Environmental Protection, as well as Deputy Prime Ministers Iryna Vereshchuk and Olga Stefanishyna. The head of Ukraine’s State Property Fund, Vitaliy Koval, and President Volodymyr Zelensky’s top aide, Rostyslav Shurma, have also left their positions.
David Arakhamia, head of the ruling party’s parliamentary faction, confirmed a major government shake-up with more than half of the Cabinet of Ministers’ staff expected to be replaced. The situation signifies a significant change in the country’s leadership and administration.
