Turkey and Egypt strengthen cooperation across sectors, aiming for B trade goal.

Ankara is making strides towards boosting trade volume with Cairo to $15 billion in the next five years, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan announced during a joint news conference with Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi in Ankara. The two leaders expressed their commitment to enhancing cooperation across various sectors such as industry, defense, health, environment, and energy.

“We will strengthen our comprehensive relations in a mutually beneficial way,” Erdogan emphasized. The presidents also highlighted their shared position on the Palestinian issue, underscoring the importance of their contributions to regional peace and stability.

Al-Sisi’s official visit to Turkey, his first since assuming office, was initiated by Erdogan, who had visited Cairo earlier this year. The visit marks a significant step towards deepening ties between the two countries and advancing their common interests.
