Get ready for an exciting event as the new 11 kilometers of highway on the Počitelj – Zvirovići subsection, including the magnificent Hercegovina Bridge, will be officially opened today. This project is one of the most complex infrastructure projects on the Vc Corridor.
High-profile dignitaries such as Denis Lasić, Nermin Nikšić, Andrej Plenković, and Borjana Krišto will be speaking at the opening ceremony at 7 p.m. The event will be attended by numerous representatives from various sectors from both Bosnia and Herzegovina and Croatia.
The Hercegovina Bridge, part of the Pan-European Corridor Vc, is a significant part of the Počitelj – Zvirovići subsection. With LOTs featuring key facilities like viaducts, a tunnel, and an impressive 980m long bridge, this expansion will greatly improve connectivity in the region.
The completion of this section means direct connectivity to the EU via the Bijača border crossing. The project was financed by the European Investment Bank and grants from the European Union, with a total cost of over 101 million euros.
