In Sarajevo, innovator Amir Mujezin is developing the Smart Call project to be donated to women’s safe houses across Bosnia and Herzegovina. This project aims to simplify communication for victims with safe houses, in response to the high number of femicide cases in the country.
Through integrating software programs and writing scripts, Mujezin created a video conferencing system on the SOS line, ensuring emergency assistance is readily available. The project has already been approved by a Safe House in Sarajevo, with plans for further implementation.
Mujezin highlighted the importance of providing a secure and trustful platform for victims to seek help, emphasizing the benefits of face-to-face video calls in emergency situations. The Smart Call system is still in the testing phase and requires further development, with discussions at the Canton Sarajevo Government meeting and a scheduled meeting with the Prime Minister to discuss the project’s progress.
Overall, Mujezin’s project aims to offer a reliable and secure communication channel for victims in distress, promoting trust and safety in times of crisis.
