The minister introduced the “fact-check” initiative at the Ministry of Information to verify information and combat misinformation online. He also mentioned a training program by Tech Valley in partnership with Google to equip journalists with skills to verify reports online.
Tarar expressed optimism that with the right training, it will be possible to create a positive and secure digital environment, fostering harmony among people and combating religious extremism. He stressed the importance of addressing this issue with focus and attention.
