The Governor of Enugu State, Dr Peter Mbah, recently commissioned four newly constructed roads in Abakpa Nike, Enugu metropolis. One of the roads, Obinagu Road, was renamed Mike Ejeagha Crescent after the music legend, Mike Ejeagha. The other roads commissioned were Texaco Bus Stop-Ifo Road and Nkpor Street.
During the event, Governor Mbah visited Ejeagha at his residence and announced that the state government would take full responsibility for his upkeep, recognizing him as a living legend. Mbah emphasized the government’s commitment to fulfilling its social contract with the people by ensuring the paving of all urban roads in Enugu.
He highlighted the completion of 71 urban roads and 10 rural roads awarded last year, with additional emergency road projects identified during the construction process. The newly commissioned roads are part of the government’s ongoing efforts to improve infrastructure and accessibility in the state.
