Former Trump Ambassador: US has obligation to back ‘one Jewish state’

The US Has a “Biblical” Duty to Support Israel’s Annexation of the West Bank, Says Former Ambassador

The former US ambassador to Israel, David Friedman, in his new book One Jewish State: The Last, Best Hope to Resolve the Israeli-Palestinian Conflict, argues that the US should support Israel’s annexation of the occupied West Bank based on biblical prophecies and values. He believes that President Trump, if presented with this plan, would also support it.

Friedman envisions a “one Jewish state” solution that he will share with Trump at the right time. His proposal includes transferring $1 billion in US funding from Palestinians to Israel to assert sovereignty over the West Bank. He suggests giving Palestinians legal rights similar to those of citizens of Puerto Rico in a “one Jewish state” scenario.

Friedman’s book challenges traditional US policy of advocating for a two-state solution, appealing to a wide range of readers. With the timing coinciding with the 2024 presidential election, Friedman sees an opportunity for expanding the Abraham Accords based on the concept of ‘One Jewish State’.
