The long-awaited Charaka Government Super-Speciality Hospital in Bengaluru is finally open, offering top-tier services in plastic surgery, cardiology, urology, nephrology, and neurosurgery. The five-storey, 150-bed hospital was inaugurated by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, marking a significant milestone in healthcare for the region. The hospital, previously a Covid Care Centre, has been transformed into a state-of-the-art facility by the Medical Education Department.
With OPD services, casualty wards, ICU beds, operation theatres, and specialized rooms, Charaka Hospital is equipped to provide comprehensive care to patients. The hospital will also offer affordable services, with a fixed charge of Rs 10 for OPD visits. Patients without a BPL card can access treatment through the CM’s fund, ensuring healthcare accessibility to all.
Emphasizing the importance of cleanliness and quality healthcare, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah praised the hospital’s role in serving the community. Charaka Hospital aims to be a beacon of healthcare excellence for the region, providing essential services to those in need.
