Great Britain, along with 12 partner countries, has trained over 40,000 servicemen of the Defense Forces of Ukraine through the INTERFLEX multinational training operation in the span of two years. The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine shared updates on Facebook about the basic military training being conducted by instructors from the New Zealand Army as part of the INTERFLEX program in Great Britain.
The training covers various modules, including obstacle courses, defensive exercises, tactical medicine, and movement on the battlefield. This program aims to enhance the psychological stability and combat skills of Ukrainian recruits with minimal military experience.
The five-week course includes weapons handling, marksmanship, tactics, urban warfare, first aid, and more. In addition to training, Great Britain, along with other Western countries, Australia, and New Zealand, provides weapons, ammunition, and logistical support to the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The training takes place at the facilities of the Ministry of Defense of Great Britain in the United Kingdom. Future platoon commanders of the Armed Forces of Ukraine are also practicing storming enemy trenches under the guidance of instructors from Australia and Finland as part of the INTERFLEX operation.
