New Karak Garment Factory Inaugurated by Prime Minister
The Ministry of Labor announced that the new Karak garment factory, inaugurated by the Prime Minister, has increased the number of productive plants in Jordan’s districts and governorates to 31, employing 9,765 Jordanians.
This initiative, in line with Royal directives, aims to reduce poverty and unemployment by establishing 6 productive branches in various regions across the country. The ministry is focusing on attracting investments to remote areas and poor communities to create job opportunities.
The government is providing capital support and operational assistance to investors looking to set up production units, covering 50% of workers’ wages, transportation allowances, social security subscriptions, and offering tax and customs exemptions.
This drive towards economic development and job creation in local communities showcases the government’s commitment to addressing social and economic challenges across Jordan.
