Switzerland and France to conduct joint military exercises

Switzerland, known for its neutrality, is set to engage in military exercises with NATO member France. The Swiss government has confirmed that four Swiss F/A-18 fighter jets will join forces with four Rafale fighter jets from the French Navy for joint flights in the airspace of both countries.

The Swiss Air Force and the French Navy will collaborate on these exercises, scheduled for Tuesday and Wednesday, as outlined in their official statements. Various training modules will take place in the airspace of Switzerland and France, with the French fighter jets temporarily staying at the Payerne airbase in Switzerland.

The focus of these joint military drills will be on the coordination and execution of air defense exercises, as well as the exchange of expertise between the two nations. This partnership aims to enhance their tactical capabilities and strengthen their strategic cooperation.
