Sweden advises parents to limit screen time for children of all ages to promote well-being.

The country’s Public Health Agency recommends no screen time for children under 2, one hour for 2 to 5-year-olds, and 1-2 hours for kids aged 6-12.

Teenagers aged 13-18 should be limited to 2-3 hours of screen time per day due to concerns about poor sleep and mental health.

Excessive screen time can lead to dissatisfaction with their bodies and depression, according to research cited by the agency.

Sweden is considering a ban on smartphones in primary schools to address the issue.
