Javed Latif, a leader of Pakistan Muslim League – Nawaz (PML-N), announced on ARY News that there will be no negotiations with Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).
Latif firmly stated that PTI founder will not be granted the National Reconciliation Ordinance (NRO) and emphasized that talks with opposition parties are possible, but not with those solely seeking dialogue with the establishment.
He clarified that PML-N did not discuss negotiations with PTI and no one was tasked to engage with them. Latif stressed the importance of political communication while condemning those involved in the May 9 incidents as ‘criminals’.
Highlighting the issue of power distribution within the alliance, he questioned PTI’s willingness to grant Achakzai authority. Latif also mentioned the influence of Faiz and Bajwa on PTI’s success in 18 out of 20 by-elections during the 18-month government term.
He concluded by referencing the founder’s previous admission of PTI’s facilitation and emphasized the implications of holding organizations accountable.
